This website has been set up by the Hepworth Estate and is designed to provide information on all aspects of the life and work of the sculptor Barbara Hepworth.
The Hepworth Wakefield is planned to open in May 2011 in the city where Hepworth was born. The Hepworth will be a new museum containing the gift of a unique collection of forty-four working models in plaster and aluminium from the Hepworth Estate, alongside the existing collection of Wakefield Art Gallery which includes a particularly strong group of works by twentieth century British artists.
